Overview

Eagle Point Landfill is a fully permitted Class I municipal solid waste disposal facility located in the northwest corner of the intersections of Old Federal Highway and Highway 369 in Forsyth County, Georgia. The site opened in April 2002, is 577 acres with a disposal footprint of 163 acres. Conservation easements (113+ acres) surround the vast majority of the property providing a forested buffer from existing buildings and roadways.

The facility is permitted to dispose of a total of 29,403,000 cubic yards (total airspace minus landfill cap). Based on this permitted capacity, at a disposal rate of 1,500 tons per day, the facility has a life expectancy of 46 years. Therefore, the Landfill can serve the the Atlanta marketplace for many years to come. Plus, the Landfill has enough additional acreage to permit another five million cubic yards of air space. The Landfill does not have a maximum daily intake capacity limit regulated by its permit; therefore, it could accept volumes significantly greater than the above estimated daily tonnage.

The Landfill has a spotless environmental regulation and health and safety record. The Landfill has had no violations of environmental regulations on a local, state, or national level. In addition, the Landfill has had no health or safety violations on a local, state or national level.
